The RealitySeven Full Flight Simulator is scheduled to be delivered to the airline's training centre in Karachi in August.

“It will be a first of its kind simulator in Pakistan and will significantly enhance PIAs in house pilot training capabilities,” a PIA official informed.

With its unique modular architecture, the RealitySeven Full Flight Simulator delivers high degrees of reliability, maintainability, and supportability for training centre operators.

The RealitySeven simulation solutions include digital electrical control loading and electric motion systems to reduce power consumption and provide high trainer availability, ensuring minimal operational and running costs.

L3Harris has also previously trained PIA pilots at its training centre in Bangkok, Thailand. The latest acquisition signifies an expansion of L3Harrisrelationship with PIA, who have a B777 sim acquired in 2009, which was updated in the first half of 2021.

Robin Glover-Faure, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Commercial Aviation L3Harris said: We are delighted to agree the order of another FFS to Pakistan International Airlines, as we expand our relationship with the airline. The L3Harris Airbus A320ceo FFS will give PIA pilots the highest quality training available to support the development and training requirements as the airline continues its recovery.”
