Turkish Airlines' Chairman of the Board of Directors resigns
Ilker Ayci, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board of Directors last week resigned from his position.
Aycı had been the chairman of the carrier since April 2015.
His successor has been named as Ahmet Bolat, who previously served in Turkish Airlines as deputy director for investment and technology.
Bolat said: “I would like to extend my thanks to board members for entrusting this duty to me. I am well aware of the responsibilities and duties it brings along with its significance.”
In a shakeup, the airline also replaced two other board members; Mehmet Muzaffer Akpınar and Mithat Görkem Aksoy.
They have been replaced by captain pilot Mehmet Kadaifciler and Şekib Avdagiç, the head of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
