East African liberalisation is moving onward says Rwandan aviation chief

The RCAA head said a move to see freer movement across the region's airspace is part of an initiative to liberalise the African market. Masozera said that failure to harmonise the operations is currently regarded as the “biggest challenge hindering the growth of the region's air transport sector.”
He said: "Aviation is growing. More airlines are coming into the region, more people are travelling and economies are performing better, this means that investments in intra-regional and international travel are expanding and that is why we are trying to make East Africa accessible to everybody," he said.
