Riyadh Season is one of several major events launched to transform the Kingdom into a leading global recreational and tourism destination. As the national carrier and wings of Vision 2030, the airline is set to support efforts to establish Riyadh as the go-to destination for tourists and visitors together with flyadeal, its low-cost subsidiary.

The first edition of Riyadh Season saw a great success from Saudia’s sponsorship. This year, its role will be extended with contributions from the Group’s subsidiaries. Saudia Cargo and Saudi Logistics Services (SAL), two of Saudia Group subsidiaries, will be Official Main Partners, while flyadeal will serve as a co-sponsor.

As part of the sponsorship, the Group plans to launch a series of new Saudia Holidays packages for visitors to Riyadh. Additional seats will also be made available to meet the anticipated increase in demand during the Season. Saudia Cargo will participate by transporting heavy equipment used during the event in and out of the Kingdom, while SAL will play a key role in logistics and ground operations. Visitors on a budget can also take advantage of exceptional low-cost flight options from flyadeal.

Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of Saudia Group, stated that the Group’s strategic partnership with Riyadh Season comes as part of its commitment to serve as the ‘Wings of Vision 2030’. SAUDIA aims to assist the government’s efforts to strengthen national tourism, elevate the quality of the hospitality and entertainment sectors, broaden economic diversity, empower entrepreneurs, and create jobs for Saudi citizens – which are all part of the leadership’s roadmap that the Group remains in full service of as the Kingdom’s flag carrier.

Al-Omar expressed his confidence that Saudia’s global stations and cargo and logistical services will contribute to the success of Riyadh Season, thanks to the Group’s ability to fly visitors to the event and experience its many attractions at reasonable prices while enjoying exceptional service and convenience.

Riyadh Season 2021 will feature more than 7,500 events at 14 locations around the capital, including more than 350 plays, over 100 interactive experiences, and at least six musical stage performances. More than 200 world-class restaurants will be on site to serve visitors a range of global cuisine, together with countless activities for all ages.
