Saudi Arabia – Latin America relations strengthen
The Saudi – Latin American aviation relationship has strengthened after Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) signed four agreements at the inaugural Saudi-Brazilian International Aviation Conference in Rio de Janeiro.

The conference was attended by around 80 government officials and industry representatives from the Saudi Aviation sector including His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej where he signed four agreements:
GACA and Brazil MoU for cooperation in the enhancement of passenger experience.
GACA and Civil Aviation Authority of the Dominican Republic agreement on transport services with the Dominican Republic.
GACA and Civil Aviation Authority of Uruguay agreement on air transport services
GACA and Republic of Suriname establishing agreement on air transport services
Additional agreements were also signed at the conference including:
Matarat and the Brazilian Airports Association’s MOU to enhance cooperation in the fields of aviation management, operations, and development of airports.
The CEOs of Altanfeethi and Brazil Exclusive Travels MOU for knowledge and experience sharing in VIP passenger experiences, technologies and practices, and investment.
As part of the conference Saudi Arabia, the President of GACA emphasised the importance of Latin American countries in achieving the ambitious objectives of the Saudi Aviation Strategy, such as increasing the number of passengers from 100 to 300 million and increasing the connectivity range from 100 to 250 destinations by 2030.
