Oman Air CEO to speak at The Future of Air Transport 2010

Mr Hill will speak about the role of in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) as a factor in customers’ choice of airline and the evolution of IFEC to meet the changing needs and expectations of travellers.
Mr Hill was invited to speak at The Future of Air Transport 2010
following Oman Air’s recent introduction of a new fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft which offer each passenger audio video on demand, live satellite TV and the world’s first combined mobile phone and Wi-Fi connectivity package.
After accepting the invitation to speak at the event, Hill said: “The Future of Air Transport
is acknowledged as one of the aviation industry’s leading events. I am delighted to have the opportunity to speak to some of the industry’s leading figures and to promote the debate on how we can continue to meet and surpass customers’ expectations when it comes to IFEC and other in-flight technologies.
“As we found when Oman Air introduced in-flight mobile and Wi-Fi connectivity, customers value the chance to stay in touch, be entertained, update their social media and work whilst travelling. Oman Air and an increasing number of other airlines have taken great steps forward within the area of IFEC and one of the major challenges for the future will be how we match the pace of technological change. I look forward to discussing with colleagues the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”
