New event for helicopter safety onshore and offshore

Called Onshore Offshore Aviation (OOA-2014) the first event will be held at the Armed Officers Club in Abu Dhabi on November 2&3 this year.
The conference will address topics including:
• Operating in Difficult Conditions – Desert Flying, Summer, Night
• Training opportunities
• New Technologies available
• Human Factors – Fatigue, Regulations, Safety Oversight, Cockpit Safety
The conference programme will be made up of a panel of experts from the region as well as global players sharing case studies and lessons learnt.
The event will tackle some of the key issues regarding safe operations and present solutions and new technology to address some of the problems in the region.
An associated exhibition in the refreshment area will feature OEMs and suppliers in the rotary and fixed wing industry.
MENA HST was set up in 2008 as the result of an international effort launched in 2006 by the International Helicopter Safety Team with the aim of reducing accidents worldwide by 80% over the 10 years to 2016.
