Sprung Structures (USA) and Gulf Enterprises (United Arab Emirates) are collaborating on constructing innovative pre-designed and pre-manufactured hangars in the Middle East.

The hangars have a lightweight aluminum sub-structure, a high-tensioned membrane and fiberglass insulation layers. These factors mean the hangars are well suited for the harsh environment of the region. Additionally, Sprung Structure’s extensive inventory will allow for rapid construction.

The growth of aerospace in the Middle East will demand fast and flexible infrastructure provisions. Sprung Structures can meet this demand and deliver rapid hangar solutions.

As part of the collaboration between Sprung Structures and Gulf Enterprises, the companies have developed an optimised and flexible narrowbody hangar design with modular outfitting for line and light maintenance including appropriate facilities for aircraft mechanics.

“Sprung Structures has already built many buildings in the Middle East, and we welcome the addition of Gulf Enterprises expertise in aerospace and construction to further grow our hangar business in the region” states Barry Cruse, regional director of Sprung Structures.

“There is an urgent need to protect aircraft and helicopter assets from the harsh environment in this region and we can satisfy this demand by offering superior quality, competitive hangars with a high degree of flexibility and excellent suitability for the Middle East” said Richard Haas, CEO of Gulf Enterprises.
