Dubai Airshow 2023: Skyportz releases modular sustainable vertistop
Skyportz is unveiling its latest vertiport design, in collaboration with Contreras Earl Architecture with input from Arup.

The Skyportz Vertistop will fill a gap for privately-owned vertiports for public use on compact sites. It has been designed to be placed on a rooftop, in a car park, or anywhere there is space with a minimum of 30x30 metres. charging facilities will be available as a back-up only at some locations.
“We have in our stable of designs, a large public vertiport, a smaller public waterfront vertiport and a tiny “Vertiport in a Box” for private usage. With this Skyportz Vertistop design, we are filling a gap in the market for a public vertistop that is compact and affordable for property developers wanting to bolt on a vertiport to their existing sites,” explained Clem Newton-Brown, Skyportz CEO.
By using a modular design, construction costs will be kept to a minimum, with Newton-Brown adding: “Land is expensive in urban locations, and we believe that simple set down and pick up vertistops in prime locations will have a huge role to play in an advanced air mobility ecosystem.”
Skyportz and Contreras Earl Architecture are currently seeking global construction partners to manufacture and install their vertiport designs under licence.
