Airport Show: OCEM offers full solutions

Laurent Lacledere, Business Development Manager, explained: “Worn like a virtual reality helmet, the remote headset replaces the telephone in communications between the field engineers and the experts at our HQ. The camera allows the engineer to share live videos of the equipment he is working on, and be advised by the central control in real time. The expert is then able to be in many different places at the same time, collaborating with the engineers in the field and resolving problems before they become issues.”
The field technician has immediate access to an OCEM remote technical expert via smart and interactive communications, consisting of a smartphone, tablet or PC-laptop and AR glasses. Using an object palette to collaborate, the expert has a full view of the equipment and can offer advice by way of text, way-finding arrows and symbols to assist the engineer in resolving the problem and avoiding damaging downtime.
