Air traffic controllers to strike on Thursday at Beirut
Beirut's main international airport faces problems Thursday morning as Lebanese air traffic controllers at the Rafik Hariri International Airport have announced a two-hour strike.

The controllers said they would escalate action if Parliament fails to include them in plans to raise public sector wages.
Beirut’s Daily Star said all air traffic services would be put on hold between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., effectively delaying inbound and outbound flights for at least two hours at the country's only international airport. "This time we will not back away before our demands are met, whatever the consequences may be," a committee representing the controllers told the Lebanese newspaper.
