Syphax Airlines looking to resume commercial operations
The recovery plan, which was drawn up by accountant Nizar Barkia, will now be implemented and monitored by Syphax Airlines' management. A meeting has been scheduled for February 10.
Syphax Airlines founder and CEO, Mohamed Frikha, placed the carrier into judicial administration in October 2015 amid debts of over TND230 million dinars at the time.
According to the report, the resolution of Syphax Airlines' financial obligations is only one of the battles Frikha needs to win. Just prior to suspending flights, Syphax Airlines was accused by high profile lawyer Imed Ben Halima and Farouk Mellouki’s SOS Terrorisme association of aiding and abetting Tunisian Jihadists through a weekly airbridge between Sfax and Istanbul Atatürk.
