The UK and Qatar share a close and historic defence relationship, demonstrated by the Joint Typhoon Squadron based at RAF Coningsby and the recently established UK-Qatar Strategic Dialogue.

DIMDEX 2022 will be Qatar’s first defence exhibition in four years and the UK Government and a great opportunity for UK government to engage with key end users and senior Qatari officials to deepen the UK-Qatar relationship further.

The UK Department for International Trade (DIT) is hosting the UK Pavilion at DIMDEX this year, accompanied by UK defence industry who will be showcasing their latest offering across a range of products and capabilities. The Pavilion offers a centre point from which visitors can explore or talk with UK government officials, including our team of expert military advisers, and UK industry.

The Department for International Trade will also be joined by teams from the UK Ministry of Defence.

Mark Goldsack, Director of UK Defence and Security Exports, part of the Department for International Trade, said: “It’s great to see the return of DIMDEX - an important milestone in the UK-Qatar defence calendar.

Our defence and security relationship with Qatar continues to deepen and is ripe with opportunities. I am delighted to be travelling to DIMDEX and looking forward to all of the engagements that will see us enhance our strategic partnership.”
