Aviators Africa: Times Aerospace publisher wins Changemaker award for Events
The fourth Aviators Africa Conference and Tower Awards has taken place in South Africa with our very own director of Times Aerospace, Mark Brown, winning Africa Changemaker Award for 'Events' on behalf of the team at Times Aerospace Events Ltd.
The three-day event kicked off on Thursday, 20th October, with an outreach programme in partnership with the Girl Fly Programme Africa (GFPA) Foundation, Walk for Love Africa, and South African Tourism.
Day two of the conference began with an expository keynote address by Aaron Munesti, the chief executive officer of the Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) which highlighted the imperative and the urgency of resetting the African aviation industry post the COVID-19 pandemic, rather than restarting it.
The event came to a conclusion asking stakeholders to work towards resetting the African aviation industry with a view of harnessing the benefits of sustainable energy and technology-driven operations.
Various awards were delivered during the event with Brown noted for his passion in organising events for aerospace in Africa and the Middle East.
Brown said: “I am honoured to receive this award on behalf of myself and the great team I work with that make it truly possible.”
