Stuck Turkish Airlines plane finally towed away

The Airbus A340 flight from Istanbul, which was carrying 104 passengers including 11 crew, skidded off the runway after landing as a result of excessive rainfall.
The passengers and the crew were quickly evacuated and, thankfully, no injuries were reported. However, the spell of bad weather including rain and strong winds had created difficult soil conditions, which meant it took four days for the aircraft to be removed from the muddy ground, causing widespread disruption at the airport.
A irport authorities announced that the Turkish Airlines flight was removed at 1.17 a.m. on Monday and the runway was re-opened at 6.51 a.m., The Hindu Business Line reported. A combined team of engineers from Larsen & Toubro, Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL), Air India and Turkish Airlines were working together with 200 labourers in shifts since Friday to tow away the aircraft.
Turkish Airlines issued a statement that said that the necessary analysis and research is being done in collaboration with the local civil aviation authorities to identify that cause of the incident.
