RAK manufacturer hits TV news headlines in USA with latest product delivery

The trainer was built by the Dubai headquartered firm at its manufacturing base in Ras Al Khaimah and shipped to California where it was assembled at a brand-new training centre near San Francisco.
The trainer was built for Virgin America, the domestic US airline that is taking America by storm with its service and standards. At a ribbon-cutting event, Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson, Virgin America president and CEO David Cush and the airline’s teammates saw TV coverage for the event.
The new cabin trainer facility – a replica Virgin America aircraft fuselage that will allow the growing airline to train thousands of its flight crew in California - had been shipped to California in several parts and Spatial Composites CEO Joe McKeever had flown from Dubai to witness the handover.

The trainer will be used for the intensive in-flight training the airline conducts. Known for its outstanding guest service and unique cabins, Virgin America has been scooping the prizes. Branson praised the Spatial team for their product which enables the crew to practise day-to-day operations and emergency procedures with real situational awareness.
Training officers can monitor the way the crew works without being seen by the crew who work inside the realistic cabin. Trainers built by Spatial can be used for practicing smoke problems, emergency evacuation and service training.
Virgin has produced a time-lapse video of the cabin trainer’s installation at the Virgin America headquarters: http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=845371716400
"I think it’s the first time a U.A.E manufacturing company has been involved in such a high profile project in San Francisco," McKeever said. "It was a great day."
Spatial Composites will be participating at this year's Dubai Air Show.
