Nigerian aerodrome safety inspectors trained by Singapore Civil Aviation Academy
Thirteen Nigerian Aerodrome safety inspectors have been trained by the Singapore Civil Aviation Academy, the first time a programme of its type has been held in Nigeria.

The Nation reported that the training was carried out at the NCAA conference facility in Lagos, and head of public relations at NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, described the training as the pilot version of the Safety Oversight Inspectors Course.
“This is cognizance of the importance of the course to global aviation safety, 40 participants from 15 African countries were in attendance for this maiden edition. Nigeria provided the highest number of participants,” said Adurogboye.
The training included: safety oversight obligations, critical elements of safety system, Safety Management System (SMS), airport emergency planning, operational services and maintenance practices, and physical characteristics (runways, taxiways, clearways, stop ways and holding bays).
