Pilots for the type rating courses continue their training in cooperating simulator centres such as CAE Emirates.

Captain John Diskos, President and CEO, said: “The official opening of our new facility marks an important step for Jetstream's long-term commitment to the Middle East region. Captain James McKillen has been appointed Managing Director & Head of Training of the Jetstream Aviation Academy in Dubai. His vast experience in the airline industry, his in-depth understanding of civil aviation training, his leadership skills and multinational working experience, position him as the ideal executive officer to effectively promote the company’s goals."

Captain James McKillen said: “Airline growth in the Middle East and neighbouring regions is driving the need for additional highly qualified flight crew and cabin crew members. Our experience gained from the operation of Jetstream Athens since 2008 and our future partnerships, with respected simulator centres in the region, will enable us to satisfy any training requirements of diverse airlines.
"Moreover, by declaring our presence at this year’s Dubai Air Show exhibition, we create an excellent opportunity to network with Airline operators and partners and to enhance our relationships."
