Gulf Aviation Academy wins two key IATA training accreditations

GAA has gained the authorisations after demonstrating its instructional expertise and the Academy’s overall ability to provide quality aviation training in the MENA region. GAA is the only independent certified Aviation Training organisation to have the IATA RTP and ATC status in the MENA region.
The accreditation now enables GAA, Bahrain ’s first aviation training academy, to deliver a wide range of additional IATA approved training courses for all categories of aviation personnel. The range of courses include Introductory Cargo, Dangerous Goods, Introduction to the Airline Industry, Airline Marketing, Airline Finance & Accounting Management, Airport Operations and Ground Operations Management. Further IATA approved courses will be added in the coming months.
Commenting on the new IATA Training capability for GAA, chief executive officer, Tim Shattock said: “IATA courses are important for a number of our customers at GAA and achieving IATA RTP and ATC status enables us to continue to provide our growing customer base with an expanding range of aviation training services to a wider number of personnel working in the Airline industry. All the team at GAA are very proud of the IATA accreditations”.
The IATA “International Aviation Training Programme” was developed to meet the training needs of the air transport industry worldwide. The comprehensive programme provides students with the latest industry-wide knowledge and skills to excel in today’s fast moving and changing aviation industry.
