Ghana civil aviation directors offered safety training by UK's CAAi

The GCAA’s board of directors attended the safety management initiative workshop, which focused on the regulatory responsibilities of the new Ghana CAA Directors.
Developed by UK CAA experts, the training was designed to help the Board gain an appreciation of safety and risk management within their specific executive roles.
The three-day interactive workshop covered a range of critical regulatory areas including Just Culture, Safety Compliance, Oversight, Safety Performance and Risk. The workshop also explored how to encourage a positive safety culture and examined UK CAA best practice methods to help achieve this.
Head of Quality and Risk at the Ghana CAA Gilbert Senyo, said, “CAAi Management Initiative Workshops are highly recommended for those in CAA Leadership positions, who require an overview of Safety Management Systems to fulfill their role in contributing to safety”.
