Female students visit JATS to expose them to the aviation world

During the visit, the 5 and 6th grade female students from al-Qteraneh were briefed about the training procedure every pilot, cabin crew and maintenance crew member has to undertake to keep their aviation licenses updated and in compliance with their respective Civil Aviation requirements.  Thereafter, the youngsters were treated to ‘fly’ in one of JATS’ simulators, witness a real-life plane ditching emergency evacuation and fire exercises in the In-Flight safety department.  They were also served lunch inside the mock-up cabin service trainer, pretending to be passengers on board a flight.

“The decision to bring young female students to JATS was motivated by the increasing number of female pilots in the Middle East that are learning to fly and earn their wings.  JATS can contribute in making their dreams come true of one day joining the aviation world”, said Amer Fakhoury, JATS’ general manager.

The JATS visits by Madrasati students has become a regular field trip for Eastern Holding sponsored schools.  Eastern Holding, the parent company of JATS, believes it is its social and corporate responsibility to expose young people to the corporate aviation world for potential career building.
