Emirates doubles number of UAE Cadet Pilots

Dubai-based carrier Emirates has announced that 35 UAE Nationals have graduated from the Emirates airline National Cadet Pilot Programme today, doubling last year's graduate figures.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chairman and chief executive said:  “I am delighted that we have doubled our UAE National graduates in less than 12 months. This is an incredible achievement and further highlights Emirates’ drive towards increasing and maintaining UAE Nationals within our workforce.

“Today’s graduates have shown an incredible ability to succeed in their goals and I applaud them for the dedication and determination they have displayed in completing this challenging training programme. These bright, young and professional Emiratis will help shape the future of Emirates and will play an integral role in servicing over 100 destinations across our global network.”

Emirates has invested over $30 million over the last five years in its cadet programme.

“The National Cadet Pilot Training Programme has been running successfully since 1993 and I am confident that we will continue to attract talented young Emiratis who are looking for a fulfilling, interesting and long-lasting career with Emirates,” he concluded.
