Date set for Mid-East special forces conference

MESOC will take place on May 10 at the King Hussein Convention Centre at the Dead Sea resort under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II. Started back in 1999, SOFEX is the region's only dedicated biennial special forces event and most prestigious land forces show.
MESOC in 2008 gathered a massive delegate contingent numbering upwards of 700, including over 35 official delegations of special forces units from around the world largely headed by their commanders. The Prime Minister of Jordan began the proceedings for the conference, whose audience included His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as well as the UK’s Prince Andrew the Duke of York.
A line-up of high quality speakers at MESOC have been invited. They have wide ranging operational experiences and the authority to guide thinking on the future of some of the military world's most prized assets.
The latest edition will deliver insights on topics such as the challenges of hybrid warfare, training methods and techniques for future missions, special forces in combined operations of modern warfare, mobility and airpower in air assault operations, lessons learned from recent experiences of urban warfare, combating terrorism, and meeting equipment requirements for the special forces soldier.
