Challenger 605 simulator to be available in Europe from next year

Pilot training for the Challenger 605 aircraft will become easier next year when Middle East pilots can go to Europe rather than the USA for ongoing simulator work

FlightSafety International  announced yesterday that it will  be offering training for the Bombardier  business jet from early 2012 at its London Farnborough Training Centre in the UK

“Offering Challenger 605 aircraft training in Europe is a clear demonstration of our desire and ability to respond to the needs of our customers and to provide them with the outstanding quality, value and flexibility they deserve,” said Scott Fera, vice president, marketing.

The Challenger 605 training program will be conducted using a new FlightSafety designed and manufactured full flight simulator. It will be qualified to the highest standards by aviation regulatory agencies worldwide and feature the company’s industry leading VITAL X Visual System and advanced electric motion and control loading technology.

FlightSafety has provided professional training for pilots, maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals who operate and support Bombardier aircraft for more than 40 years. FlightSafety offers training for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global Express business aircraft and CRJ and Dash Series regional aircraft at 15 Learning Centers in Asia, Europe, South Africa and North America, using a fleet of over 60 flight simulators and other advanced training devices.

The London facility can accommodate up to 15 full flight simulators and has the capacity to train 3,800 aviation professionals annually. It offers 27 interactive classrooms, facilities for advanced technology training devices, 30 briefing rooms and customer service areas. It provides training programmes for business and regional aircraft manufactured by Bombardier, Cessna, Gulfstream, Hawker Beechcraft and Sikorsky.
