Cambridge Airport wins first Middle East ATC Training Contract for three Oman airports

The service is being delivered through its strategic partnership with Aerospace Resources Limited and Silver Falcon in Oman.

This is the first ATC Training contract from a Middle East customer for Cambridge Airport, whose current clients include UK airports, such as Shoreham and Blackpool International. The airport has chosen to capitalise on its expertise operating as a UK CAA Category 7 airport with full ATC cover to become an industry leader in providing outsourced training in a range of Airport Services, which also encompass Rescue and Fire Fighting, Airport Aviation Security, Air Traffic Engineering and Pilot Training.

Through a consultancy arrangement the highly experienced two man team from Cambridge Airport will train approximately 24 people in Oman over a four month period,   from February to April this year.  The training will take the participants to Flight Information Services Officer (FISO) level.  The ATC officers will then staff the three airports, which are located in the interior of Oman to support the company’s oil and gas exploration and production.
