Cadets from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya and the UK arrived for their first day of orientation, and were greeted by the Ayla Team into its modern facility located at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba.

The Academy offers Commercial Pilot Training for cadets wishing to obtain a Jordanian License, or, in affiliation with its UK subsidiary Atlantic Flight Training www.flyaft.com, a European (JAA/EASA) License.

The Cadets will spend 18 months in training, and will cover 750 hours of Ground School and 210 hours of flying in order to obtain their licenses. During their stay, they will stay at Academy provided housing, and participate in several sports and leisure activities in Aqaba, as well as Amman, Petra & Wadi Rum.

“Ayla’s philosophy is to train Future Leaders, not just pilots”, said Diana Alakash, cadet welfare coordinator. “In addition to their training, our cadets participate in many activities to help them stay fit, become team players, and build their leadership skills.”
