Aviation English now available in Al Ain with Edgewater

Aviation professionals in the Middle East needing to ensure clear and accurate aviation English language have a new place to turn to following the launch of the Edgewater College Middle East Training Centre in Al Ain

The Irish Trade and Commerce Minister, Billy Kelleher T.D. officially opened the new centre at a ceremony attended by many local dignitaries among them H.E. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Thani from the Qatar Royal Family, Representatives from Enterprise Ireland, and guests from ACTi, Horizon Flight Academy, and Emirates.  

This is the latest branch to be opened by Edgewater College, the College has established similar facilities in China, Kazakhstan and Libya. The Aviation English training will be carried out using a blended approach using traditional classroom teaching with aviation specific multimedia language learning products.  It focuses on development of aviation related vocabulary, as well as speaking and listening, particularly communication between Focus Pilot and Air Traffic Controllers, and Flying Pilot and Non-flying Pilot.  

Edgewater College, Chief Executive, Finian Connolly said “We are delighted to open another branch allowing us to have an experienced personnel on the ground servicing the region”.
