The two are sharing a booth at the show and said today that Bayanat has been appointed exclusive sales representative for Adacel in the UAE.”

“With the Middle East’s regional airport network expanding at a considerable rate, this new agreement will support and promote this growth through the provision of innovative technology,” the company said

According to the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) a growth of nearly nine percent in air traffic was observed across UAE airspace in the first quarter of 2011 alone, indicating a need to continue innovation in technology solutions for civil and defence aviation in support of this growth.

The two companies said the agreement, will bring advanced simulation technology to the region for air traffic controller training in both civil and defence settings, resulting in increased research, planning and modelling of air traffic procedures within the Gulf and the Middle East.

“The rate of travel is increasing almost as fast as the rate of technology today,” said Alain Bourjeily, General Manager of Bayanat. “The industry must meet the demands of these increased rates by constantly improving airport and aviation technologies which Bayanat has been a leader of in the region since 1983, working on key projects in all major airports in the UAE and Qatar with top technology partners such as Adacel.”
