Rockwell Collins launches PAVES simulator
Rockwell Collins has unveiled its virtual training simulator for its PAVE in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.

The training simulates multiple scenarios to help cabin and maintenance crews operate the IFE system.
“Our PAVES IFE training solution goes beyond a simple ‘how-to’ tutorial and provides airlines with a more effective training environment for ensuring crews are prepared for any situation,” said Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager, flight controls and information systems, Rockwell Collins.
The simulator allows cabin and maintenance personnel to practice operating the PAVES system without scheduling time on the aircraft.
An airline that takes delivery of a PAVES system receives a simulator with the same configuration and branding as the actual onboard IFE system.
