Proflight Zambia and Airtel Networks sign partnership agreement

Proflight Zambia and Airtel Networks Zambia have signed a partnership agreement that will enable customers to purchase air tickets countrywide.

From today, Airtel customers will be able to pay for their Proflight Zambia air tickets using their “Airtel Money” accounts. 

 “Airtel Money is an easy to use, versatile and exciting services which is password-protected through state-of-the-art security systems”, says Airtel Money director Brenda Thole. 

Airtel Money is a mobile money platform which allows its customers to make payments and other non-cash transactions quickly and easily. It has been widely adopted by corporate, government and individual customers for the purchase of airtime, Person-2-person cash transfers and utility bill payments. 

“Proflight Zambia likes to be at the forefront of new ideas and technology, and is constantly looking for ways to improve its customer experience. This is demonstrated by Proflight being the first airline in Zambia to offer a mobile payment option,” said Captain Philip Lemba, government and industry affairs of Proflight Zambia.  “We will continue to develop new and innovative ways to help our customers. Passengers can book Proflight Zambia tickets by phone or at the airline’s sales offices countrywide, and pay for them using the Airtel Money account on their phone. They can then receive a virtual ticket on their mobile phone. This means convenience for passengers and savings in time and money. It also enables local customers to have the same purchasing power as international customers.
