Fastjet has been using Maxamation’s Aviator RM system since 2017 in order to maxamise its flight revenue for its route networks.

In July 2024 Fastjet upgraded to the new web-based Aviator and it has seen ‘significant’ results.

Samantha Allers, general manager of revenue management said: ‘I have been in revenue management for over 35 years and literally have never worked on a revenue management system that speaks to all KPI’s. Then we upgraded to Aviator (web-based), that is revenue maximisation driven and makes sense. We’ve been using Aviator web-based since July 2024, and I have to say that is has transformed the way we work.

“It provides us with critical insight into our routes/flights which allows us to make fast decisions and ultimately become more dynamic and competitive in the marketplace, without overwhelming us with complexities.

“The interactive workflow increases our productivity and the forecasts projected are realistic with sensible outputs. Today, we truly feel organised and on top of each route. As a result, we have watched our revenues grow.”

She concluded: “The reporting tool provides total autonomy with data at your fingertips. The most time will be spent on thinking about what you want and how you want it, and as simple as a click of a button you ready to start analysing. This all adds up to a very comprehensive system that we use daily.”

Corne de Waal, Maxamation account manager in South Africa, added: “Fastjet use Aviator to help them to completely understand all the nuances of their markets and then develop flight revenue strategies. Fastjet then convert those strategies into Aviator user settings and allow the Aviator flight revenue optimisation processes to constantly maxamise flight revenue. The success that fastjet have had with Aviator is as much about their approach and dedication as it is about the software. The process has been a true partnership."
