Launched in December 2021, the flight operates six times a week and is now a vital link between Rwanda and the Gulf. With RwandAir’s extensive network of destinations, the route allows travellers from Qatar to connect to East, West, Central, and Southern Africa via Rwanda’s Kigali hub.

Mubeen Karbelkar, RwandAir Middle East and Asia Regional Manager said: “We are proud to mark this milestone and the ongoing success of RwandAir’s direct flights between Kigali and Doha. The route plays an important role in connecting passengers to destinations across the globe, in part down to our exclusive codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways.

“Reflecting its importance, we have seen significant demand for this route, particularly from our transit passengers looking to reach destinations in North America, Europe, East Asia, and Australia.

“The route is making travel to Africa via Kigali more convenient for those coming from destinations we have not yet reached.”
