Thales appoints new vice president of Africa

Thales has announced Christophe Farnaud, previously in charge of International Relations, will be the next Vice President, Africa.

Christophe Farnaud holds degrees from the École Normale Supérieure, the École
Nationale d'Administration, the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and the Université Paris-Sorbonne (modern history).

He entered a career in the diplomatic service, holding various posts, including in Egypt and Jordan. From 2002 to 2011, he was Adviser to the Minister for Foreign Affairs (2002–04), the Minister for the Interior (2004–05) and the Prime Minister (2005–07). He was France's Ambassador to Greece from 2007 to 2011, when he joined Thales as VP, International Relations.
