Papa to head Air Seychelles

He was one of the key team involved in the turnaround strategy at the South African airline having previously worked with the strategy team at Etihad Airways and was vice president of corporate strategy with the Abu Dhabi airline.
Etihad has invested heaviliy into Air Seychelles. Papa succeeds Cramer Ball who has been with Air Seychelles for a year having been brought in by Etihad to help assimilate the airline into the Etihad system.
Joel Morgan, the Seychelles minister for Home Affairs and Transport and chairman of the airline said: ‘Manoj Papa is an experienced airline professional and strategist with the credentials to lead Air Seychelles in the next phase of its development. With our new routes, new aircraft on order and new service offer now across the network, we are in a stronger position than we have ever been. I put on record our grateful thanks to Cramer Ball, who has been instrumental in revitalising our national carrier. “
The airline made a profit this year for the first time.
Etihad president and CEO, James Hogan said he was delighted to welcome Papa back into the Etihad family and added “the insight which Manoj has into our business and strategic model will be crucial in ensuring the continuity of our commitment to the ongoing success and growth at Air Seychelles.”
