Air Mauritius CEO Pillay sees contract terminated

The Board of Directors of Air Mauritius met today and has taken the decision to terminate the contract of Megh Pillay as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

In a statement the airline said that Indradev (Raja) Buton, currently the EVP - strategic planning and information systems’ has been appointed officer in charge of the company with immediate effect and until further notice.
Buton has held this position on several occasions in the past. “The Board has vested in him all the powers, at the helm of the leadership team, to ensure the smooth running of the company within the established governance structure,” the statement said.
