Superjet International to assemble regional jet in Abu Dhabi

The move is part of a collaboration with collaboration with Mark AB Capital, a UAE based private equity company and with the support of the UAE Government to establish a state-of-the-art facility in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and transfer specific know how and technologies. The UAE investors take 49% of the venture.

At an MoU signing it was confirmed that SuperJet International will establish its final assembly line in Al Ain for regional aircraft to be completed by mid-2025.

In parallel, it  will set-up a new supply-chain for all aerostructure work packages in Italy and UAE, with the aim to be completed by 2026. In the first phase, the investment is evaluated at $200 million, with the creation of 450 highly skilled jobs.  

Camillo Perfido, CEO of SuperJet International  aid the collaboration is of great value  and represents a further step in the building of strong relationships between Italy and the UAE, finalized at the execution of aeronautical programmes. “We are grateful for the support received by the Abu Dhabi government through ADIO, as well as for Mark AB to choose to invest in this project.”
