SonAir resumes flights with EC225

The type was grounded in October 2012 following an incident related to a shaft failure issue.
It carried out three flights with two of its 11 EC225 helicopter fleet from its base at Luanda to a pair of offshore platforms.
SonAir also flies four AS332 L2s and three AS365 N3s. The company’s CEO, Joao Andrade, said the three “routine” flights confirmed that the EC225’s return-to-service “is backed by strong safety measures”
