Algerian minister confirms bids submitted re cargo market tender
Algerian Minister of Public Works and Transport, Abdelghani Zaalane, has confirmed that four bids have been submitted to government regarding the proposed liberalisation of the country's air cargo market, reports ch-aviation.

Although he confirmed the bids he did not disclose who the applicants are.
The decision to open up the Algerian market to private players is intended to satiate growing demand in the export sector which Air Algérie has struggled to meet. As such, given the urgency involved, a final selection of eligible carriers is due by the end of the year.
