This is in collaboration with the Drone Champions League (DCL) for young high school students aged between 14 -17 years.

The programme will accommodate around 100 students across two cohorts.

The objective of the STEM drone programme is to equip students with essential 21st-century skills as well as identify talents who may excel in drone building, flying and programming. The programme will offer high-quality content that is globally recognised and will be an opportunity for students to connect with industry leaders and gain insights from top experts.

The STEM drone programme will consist of online courses and in-person practical experience over a three-month period. The curriculum will focus on an introduction to drone technology to understand the basics; on learning how to build and fly drones with hands-on workshops; and on drone data analysis.

Students interested in the programme are invited to meet the STEM team at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) one of the largest and most important robotics research conferences in the world, from 14-18 October 2024, at ADNEC, learn more about the curriculum and witness how a drone is built first-hand at the A2RL X DCL demonstrations. Additionally, flight demos will highlight the latest innovations in drone autonomy and flight technology, giving participants a first-hand look at cutting-edge advancements in the field.

Students exhibiting the best flight performance during the STEM programme will be selected to showcase their skills at the A2RL X DCL Autonomous Drone Challenge in April and will be awarded certificates upon successful completion of the programme.
