MRO Middle East : Innovation on display and strategies for recovery

MRO Middle East, the flagship event for the commercial aviation aftermarket for the Middle East region, is set to combine a showcase for innovation alongside a live content theater where regional experts will outline the strategies for post-pandemic recovery.

While market conditions in the Middle East remain depressed as a result of international travel restrictions, according to Aviation Week’s 2021 Commercial Fleet & MRO Forecast, growth in MRO demand in the region is projected to outpace the worldwide trend expanding at a 5.3% CAGR over the decade compared to the global average of 3.6%. In total the region is expected to generate $94 billion in MRO demand over the decade, $47 billion of which will relate to engine maintenance requirements.

MRO Middle East, taking place from 15-16 June at the Dubai World Trade Center, has a refreshed format this year; with a focus on content and networking. The enhanced Go Live! Theater features 25+ senior level speakers delivering over 8+ hours of content, which is complimentary for all attendees.

Some of the key speakers who will share industry insights include: Fraser Currie, CCO of JORAMCO; Frederic Dupont, VP Technical Sales & Customer Service at Etihad Engineering; Kashif Khalid, Regional Director – Africa & Middle East at IATA and Shevantha Weerasekera, Head of Engineering and Maintenance at Sri Lankan Airlines.

JORAMCO’s Currie said: "I am delighted to be representing the company at MRO Middle East, where you can witness myself and industry colleagues talking about how we have managed to navigate our way through the Covid-19 pandemic, with a unique insight into how we have maintained business continuity through that period."
