Dyncorp International to provide aviation field maintenances services for US Army in Egypt
In a statement posted on the Federal Opportunities Register, the Department of Defense said the contract, worth US$14.4 million, will be performed in Germany, Honduras and Kuwait. The estimated completion date is December 31, 2017.
Egypt is the only African country that falls within the responsibility of the US Central Command (CENT-COMM), which is based in Stuttgart, Germany. The other 55 African countries are within the US Africa Command (AFRICOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).
In January, the US Army Central Command awarded Dyncorp International another Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts which catered for the provision of maintenance engineering services for its aircraft stationed at bases in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan.
