ABU DHABI: GANS scores hat-trick with three signings at GISS

Tuesday saw Global Air Navigation Services (GANS) celebrate three strategic signings on the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority’s (GCAA’s) stand at ICAO’s Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS).

As a key player in the UAE’s aviation sector, GANS plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient and seamless movement of aircraft across the UAE’s airspace. Strengthening collaborations between ANSPs, government authorities, training facilities and international organisations is essential to enhancing airspace management and meeting future aviation challenges.

The first signing was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GANS and the UAE’s GCAA formalising a collaborative agreement to support aviation operations across the country.

This was followed by a second MoU with ATOM Aviation Training Services, a leading Middle Eastern aviation training institution, aimed at fostering collaboration in air traffic control (ATC) training and development.

The third and final signing of the morning saw GANS partner with Micro Nav, a global provider of ATC simulation solutions, to upgrade its 3D tower simulators at its training facility in Al Ain. Speaking at the event, Shane Hannam, sales director at Micro Nav, explained: “We already have a presence in Dubai and Abu Dhabi where the GCAA is an existing customer. This partnership with GANS completes our footprint in the UAE marking the final piece of the puzzle. We are thrilled to be collaborating with GANS and to celebrate this milestone at such a prestigious event here in Abu Dhabi with the GCAA also present.”
