Selex onboard UAE's new trainers
SELEX Communications,part of the Finnmeccanica Group,and Sirio Panel - has been awarded two contracts worth a total of 5.6 millions Euro by Pilatus Aircraft for the supply of communication and identification avionic systems and of cockpit panels
The new systems will be installed on-board of the 25 turbo prop air-trainers PC-21 recently ordered by the United Arab Emirates.
The communication and identification systems include V/UHF SRT-651/N-A tactical communication systems, IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) new generation transponders M424 and ADS-B 1090 (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast) receivers also enable to simulate a wide range of tactical-operational scenarios during the training sessions of the pilots. The cockpit panels will allow the interfacing between the pilot and the general flight systems.
