Dubai Airshow: Simulator deals done for ECFT

Jet Aviation has renewed its contract for pilot training on its Gulfstream GIV, GV, G550, and Boeing Business Jet aircraft. Worldwide,

MSC Aviation, the flight operation of Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (Geneva, Switzerland), has signed a three-year contract to train pilots of its Hawker 800XPi (Pro Line 21) aircraft. Transaero Airlines signed an extension to its training agreement with ECFT for both wet and dry training of Boeing 777 pilots. Privately owned Transaero is Russia's leading leisure carrier and the country's second largest passenger airline, serving destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America from its hubs in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

ECFT is located close to Dubai International Airport and is jointly operated by the Emirates Group and CAE. Approved by both the JAA and the FAA, the facility offers training to commercial airlines and business jet operators in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia. The 14-bay centre currently houses 11 full-flight simulators: two Airbus A320/ACJs, an Airbus A330/340, a Boeing 777, two Boeing 737 NG/BBJs, a Gulfstream IV, a Gulfstream V/550, a Hawker 800/800XP, a Hawker 800XPi (Pro Line 21), and a Bell 412 helicopter simulator. ECFT will add a Global Express simulator early in 2010.
