Dassault and Safran settle dispute over 5X engine delay

Further to the termination of the Silvercrest contract, to the end of the Falcon 5X program and to the launch of the new Falcon, later named Falcon 6X, Dassault Aviation and Safran entered negotiations which led to the settlement.
Dassault Aviation will receive compensation from Safran amounting $280 million, the other terms and conditions of the programme that were applicable to the Silvercrest contract remaining unaffected, this includes the cash contribution already paid by Safran which the airdramer said will have a positive impact on its 2018 results.
Safran and its subsidiaries remain partners on the Falcon 6X, and have signed contracts for the supply of equipment for this new jet.
