Bahrain 2012: New sim for GAA fleet
The latest simulator to join the GAA fleet is the Embraer 170/190. While the regional jet is currently only seeing service in Bahrain with Gulf Air and in Muscat with Oman Air, GAA chief executive Tim Shattock believes there is great potential.

“Embraer is very optimistic about sales in the region. And this aircraft also has a very successful corporate version in the Lineage. We see this as a great investment.”
The simulator received United Kingdom CAA Level D approval in July for the CAE 7000 full motion simulator.
It features the CAE Tropos-6000 visual system and CAE True electric motion system.
“It is incredibly realistic,” said Shattock. “Simulator training is becoming an increasingly important part of a pilot’s training programme.”
