Uganda hosts aeronautical information management conference

“We are delighted to be the first African country to host the Global Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Conference,” said the CAA in a statement. The conference runs from May 23-25th.
The technical conference brings with it industry lead players and exhibitors of the latest trends in aviation technology.
“The conference will be attended by ANSPs, civil aviation authorities, airlines, ICAO, Euro control, CANSO as well as manufacturers of AIS/ATM systems and other stakeholders in the aviation industry,” the invitation letter states.
CAA Uganda has just completed automation of the Aeronautical Information Management processes at Entebbe International Airport. This has enabled the automated management of: flight plans, notices to airmen and electronic Aeronautical Information Publications.
