Kenya Airways announces it's now operating 75 percent of capacity at Jomo Kenyatta International

Following the partial opening of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and restoration of transit screening machines, Kenya Airways has announced that it's now operating at 75 percent of its planned capacity.

The airline said it was able to uplift 9,900passengers on Friday and 9,600 p passengers on Saturday to various destinations across its network. 

In a statement Kenya Airways said: “Our prime focus is on getting our guests to their final destinations while clearing the backlog in Nairobi and other stations to enable us resume normal operations. Regarding passenger handling facilities at the airport, we would like to inform all our guests that Kenya Airports Authority continues to construct additional holding facilities for improved passenger comfort. To improve the passenger check in flow process, additional tented waiting areas have been created outside both Unit 2 and Unit 3. We continue to operate our normal domestic flight schedule.”
