Ibadan airport reopens this week
Ibadan airport has reopened after closing two weeks ago following the breakdown of a fire truck at the facility.

Passengers scheduled to travel to and from Ibadan on Arik and Overland flights had to catch their flights from Lagos.
Olufemi Awolade, airspace manager, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Ibadan Airport, said: “When there is no fire cover, an airport is not supposed to operate and in compliance with ICAO regulations, the airport was closed. Ideally, there should be a minimum of two fire trucks at an airport like the one in Ibadan, but when the serviceable one broke down, there was no option but to close the airport to traffic.”
A fire truck was sent to the airport on Tuesday, leading to the airport reopening yesterday.
