The service becomes operational at the O.R. Tambo Airport base on June 1 and took almost three years to gain approvals.
Customers using the service will be required to give 24-hour notice and carry the required legal documents.
General manager Bjorn Ischner said: “Achieving this status is no small feat. Guests will be able to land at the airport, taxi onto our own private apron outside the FBO building, walk a matter of meters to the terminal, clear customs and be on their way to their final destination.”
The Oppenheimer-owned company has also announced that it has joined the Air Elite global network - the first FBO in Africa to be invited to join the network. This follows a stringent assessment of the facility and service standards.
